Kothmale radio (comments from people)

Below are some comments from people who have used the Interorg facility at Kothmale Radio Station(translated from Sinhala language and taken from the comments book at Kothmale Radio Station).

  1. Indrakumara Perera (A teacher of a computing institute)

“I came here with the students of our institute today.(22.10.99) Not only me but also my students got a lot of information about the interorg; practical experience as well. We now know how to use the search engines to find details. I saw the students were using web sites to search information. I’d like to thank the staff of Kothmale FM for providing us this facility without any charge. It’s a big help to students as well as people in this country for obtaining information related to their studies.

  1. U.G.V Mallika (mother)

This project is a great help to students of a country side area like Kothmale. They could improve their knowledge by using this interorg. I visited a website of Buddhist sacred places of India. It was a new experience to me as I am unable to make a visit to India. I must be grateful to the staff of kothmale FM for making us aware of how to use the org.

  1. R.M Nayanasiri (A student)

As a student I appreciate this project. Because of this free interorg using I could get a lot of facts for my studies. I got information about electronic circuits and geography of Sri Lanka. I think people in this area are very lucky to have this great service.

  1. Nuwan Sathagith (A student)

I obtained details about the Green House Effect by using the interorg from here. We can get scientific information through the interorg, so it’s a great help to us. I thank all here for giving me the opportunity.

  1. Premalal Wijisinghe (A student)

Usually I come here for using the interorg. In fact the interorg is a mixture of good and bad so we must try to choose only what we want. We can get a lot of knowledge not only about the world but the universe. We can make pen friends and email them. I appreciate this program a lot and thank all for giving me this opportunity. In addition to using the interorg, I came to know how to design a web page…...

  1. Lalith Perera (A Student)

As students of this area we are glad to have an opportunity like this. I visited a web site of solar eclipses. I could see images of eclipses. We can learn how to use a computer without paying money; its timely; as in this fast moving world all depend on a computer. It is a great help to poor people like us who cannot afford to spend money on this matter.

  1. Nilanthi Saranazsuriya

Knowledge about the world could be improved by using the interorg. It is a good news source. I visited www.ccom.lk web site. It describes all sections of SriLanka so people in the world can know about our motherland.

  1. Kumari Aponsu (A teacher)

As far as people in this area are concerned this is a valuable opportunity. They could never get an interorg connection personally. I could read the newspapers in Sri Lanka through the org. I am very proud to say that Kothmale Radio has the ability to fulfill the needs of computer and interorg to the people of Kothmale. Thanks for all.

  1. H.M Sidisena (A farmer)

As a farmer I would like to thank to Kothmale Community radio for giving this opportunity. I got a lot of information about tomato growing through the interorg. Actually it was very useful to me.
